Sooner State Black Bass Anglers Association (Sooner State)

Sooner State was originated in Spring of 1993 with founding members: Donald Antwine, Stephen Buford, Glen Frazier, Richard Gardner, Gifford King, John Nichols, and James Robinson.  Members just fished as a group as part of the Western Electric Bass Club which was a company club.  Members made several trips to Lake Fork, Texas and that is where they met Bill Evans and got acquainted with Sportsman Association of Black Bass Anglers (SABBA).  They fished the Truman Lake tournament in Missouri where they met Thomas Campbell in the Fall of 1993 and the rest is history.

Fishin’ Tradition Bass Club of Jasper Texas was established in 1993 and has since has grown to a peak of over 50 members from a dozen different cities. The club has monthly tournaments on Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Lake Houston, Lake Livingston, Lake Conroe, Sabine River and Fayette County Lake. Fishin’ Tradition Bass Club is also a charter member of Quad State Bass Club and has been well represented in Quad State tournament events since 1993. Fishin’ Tradition Bass Club proudly celebrates its 20th Anniversary by continuing the “traditions” of sportsmanship, resource conservation and fellowship between anglers that love the great pastime of bass fishing.
