IMG_0369The Quad State Bass Club Team Tournament spring event found Lake Ray Hubbard near Dallas Texas over seven foot low and windy. Angler would be challenged but Ray Hubbard shined as usual. Tyrone Phillips and Fred Martin of the Metro Area Bass Club of Little, Rock, AR. would best the field with a Quad State Bass Club record setting two day stringer of 56.49 pounds. Their 36.91 sack on Sunday shattered all records not to mention their 10.40 kicker. Tyrone also became Quad State Bass Club Angler of the Year. Second place went to Charlie and Clara Starks of the Starks Bass Angler club from Springfield, Mo. Their 16.96 barely raised a brow on Saturday as a 25 pound and two 20 pound stringer were weighed in. But Sunday Chalie and Clara bought 25.62 pounds to the scales including a 10.01 kicker giving them a two day total of 42.58. Lake Ray Hubbard was truely a test which most of the field passed with flying color. The tournament paid seven place and 30 pounds was not enough. Over 600 pounds of fish were weighed including a third 10.55 cought by Dennis Bush of the Dallas Bass Hooker of Dallas, Texas. Congradulations to all and thanks to the Dallas Bass Hooker for hosting a great event.
